    Fare Alerts

Refining your fare alert settings can be as tricky as your lifestyle.  Where do you spend most of your time?  Are you always in reach of a computer?  Many times I have set my stalk to text message me when the fare drops below the notify price, only to find myself somewhere that was completely impractical to book the ticket.

As you all know your fare alert is only as good as your ability to take advantage of it when it comes in.  This is why we are continually increasing the ways in which you can keep tabs on your stalks.  One of the most handy ways that I suggest is to take advantage of the fare alert RSS feeds.  These feeds are the most up to date information for your stalk.  By putting this in to your Google home page, My Yahoo, My AOL, MS Live, etc and setting this to your home page, you can glance at your fares everytime you launch a browser.  If you're like me that 's constantly!  Even better than a fare alert!

    Re: Fare Alerts

I am confused about how the alerts work. I have a stalk regarding a car rental in Kona. I got an e-mail about the fare going down below $250 but when I click on the link it I get a message that it's not available for booking.

    Re: Fare Alerts

Hi - many times low fares get grabbed very quickly.  It is important to click through the moment you get the e-mail and even then someone may have gotten to it before you.  While TripStalker gives you a competitive edge to grab the low fares when they appear, it's not a guarantee.

    Best of luck!
